First Direct made my disabled daughter cry.

My daughter with Downs syndrome booked a taxi this morning to get her to her zumba class at 6.30pm. At 6.55pm she called me in tears saying that not only had the taxi not arrived but they told her she was a low priority and others were ahead of her. She called them at 7pm to cancel the taxi as she had missed most of the class and said that she wouldn't use them again as they were so rude and unhelpful. They hung up on her. She said she feels discriminated against as a woman with a disability to be treated that way. First Direct say their professionalism makes them first choice with people with disabilities. Not in this family. We will be passing on our experience to all our friends and special needs clubs in Christchurch.
