Broadfield School

We are a small rural primary school located on the outskirts of Christchurch for students in Years 1 to 8. Established in 1868, we continue to have strong local community connections. This is reflected in our logo and our Māori names for spaces. Whanau and the wider community are very supportive and are regularly involved in the school.

Parents and caregivers choose Broadfield School for the rural aspect, family values, 21st Century teaching and learning and because of our emphasis on developing Literacy, Numeracy and the Key Competencies.

ADig Deep Logot Broadfield our motto is “Dig Deep”. It stems from our Vision and relates to our school Logo of the plough. We ‘dig deep’ to be our best in all we do. This is; in the classroom, using the key competencies, living the school values and on the sports field.

Students at Broadfield are encouraged to take healthy risks so they can reach their full potential.
