Burnside High School

The school caters for students from Years 9 to 13. The students in Years 9 to 12 are divided into three Divisions of approximately 700 students each. The Divisions each have their own Divisional Principal, Guidance Counsellor and Deans and so are effectively smaller schools within the larger school. The Divisions enable students to be known and to experience the advantages of a smaller school while benefiting from the opportunities offered by being in a large school. In Year 13 the students from all three junior Divisions come together as a Senior Division of approximately 500 students who provide valuable student leadership across the whole school.
