Old quarry turned park with many walks, heritage buildings, picnic sites & an off-leash dog area.
Halswell Quarry is a park on the fringe of the city with walks, historic sites and six sister-city gardens.
There is plenty to do, from walking to biking, plus three permanent orienteering courses. Large open spaces make for great picnic sites for big groups. Explore the sister-city gardens which showcase plants from Canterbury and our Sister-Cities around the world.
The entrance to the main car park is 1km along Kennedys Bush Road. Metro(external link) website has up-to-date bus information.
