“We were the only ones on a Saturday early evening, and were greeted warmly by the bar manager. Ordered a Monteiths Pilsner straight away for the two of us and chose the table in the window by the door.
Blues playing in the background added to the atmosphere.
We ordered the full rack of ribs, and the ribeye with mushroom sauce, mash and slaw. The steak was cooked perfectly medium for me and came out with a lovely sauce. The plating was a bit different (all in separate serving dishes), but perfectly fine.
The rack on my partner’s plate was just that – a full rack smothered in sauce. The meat just fell off the bones. A very generous serving indeed.
We were offered desserts, but honestly couldn’t fit any in!
Certainly a good eating option in Temuka.”
